As an American living in Japan many of my non-American friends will ask me, what do Americans do on July 4th?
Well, I pretty much brake it down into 3 things, PARADES, COOKOUTS and FIREWORKS.
What event would be complete without FOOD? July 4th is no exception. A 4th of July cookout would not be complete without a hot dog, but of course it doesn't stop there. BBQ, Burgers and Beer are also frequent visitors to the typical July 4th cookout and believe me they are very welcomed guests.
Last but not least, after having a day of fun with Food, Family and Friends, most Americans will wind the day down with a fireworks celebration. This usually takes on 2 stages in many areas.
1) First stage is to buy smaller rockets and firecrackers to get that "hands on" feeling.
2) Second stage is to gather the family to watch one of many professional fireworks demonstrations that happen throughout the night.
Of course this is just the tip of the iceberg. Independence Day has different meaning for everyone. However you decide to enjoy it, in my opinion it is best shared with loved ones.
Please let us know how you like to celebrate your Independence Day. Drop us a comment, we would love to hear it.
Have a happy 4th of July!!!
This is all about having fun. If it looks interesting and it relates to health and Purified Living then I will be adding it.
